This film tells a story about a teenager Zach Cooper (Dylan
Minnette) who just moved from a big city to a small town and
finds a silver lining when he meets the beautiful girl, Hannah (Odeya
Rush), living right next door. But every silver lining has a
cloud, and Zach's comes when he learns that Hannah has a
mysterious dad who is revealed to be R. L. Stine (Jack Black),
the author of the bestselling Goosebumps series. It turns out
that there is a reason why Stine is so strange... he is a
prisoner of his own imagination - the monsters that his books
made famous are real, and Stine protects his readers by keeping
them locked up in their books.
When Zach unintentionally unleashes the monsters from their manuscripts and they begin to terrorize the town, it's suddenly up to Stine, Zach, Hannah, and Zach's friend Champ (Ryan Lee) to get all of them back in the books where they belong.
This film is based on a best-selling novel Goosebumps written by R. L. Stine. The story written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski while the screenplay witten by Darren Lemke. This movie is quite the best choice for the whole family to watch at halloween night if all the scary movies bored us already. R. L. Stine played by Jack Black who is funny as always while R. L. Stine himself got the role as Mr. Black. This movie got the funny, lovebirds, and family elements in it and just like other adventures movie this movie has cliche story line that doesn’t really amazed us except for all the usual wow-3D&CGI animation that looks good. But, if you’re looking for something light and happy but still a bit intense for this halloween month, this movie is perfect for you and your whole family! (Anna-Rose, Katyana) Point : 70 |
