When mysterious spacecraft landed in 12 different places around the world, linguistics professor Louise Banks played by Amy Adams is chosen to interpreting the language of the creatures inside the spacecraft that they called alien. Along the way with other 11 countries she has to convince them about their purpose coming to earth; a threat or here to help.

Starring Amy Adams as the lead with Jeremy Renner as the theoretical physics and Forest Whitaker as the U.S Army Colonel. Directed by Denis Villeneuve who’s famous with Sicario is now back with a masterpiece. Arrival is thrilling to watch. You’ll feel curious in each of the scene. Mixed with a heartbreaking and beautiful music scores by Jóhann Jóhannson.

The film received eight nominations from the Academy Awards that includes Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, Best Production Design and won for Best Sound Editing. Amy Adams gives one of her best performance to date. How she represent, the complicated feeling of the character is very nice.

The film’s genre is thriller. Don’t expect you’ll see an ordinary alien film. This film is so refreshing, unique and magnificent! The message and the twists will woo you and will give you the feeling you’ll never forget! At the end of the film, you’ll realize there’s a bigger meaning inside the story. I would say this film is one of the best films of all time!
