Looking For Trouble directed by Caroline Cuny
and Bryan Campbell finally emerged as the Overall Winner 2016 of the
World Humanitarian Awards.
The announcement was made in Manggala Wanabakti
building, on the Awards Ceremony of International Film Festival
celebrating International Day of Peace and was attended by Minister
of Environment and Forestry; Siti Nurbaya Bakar, Minister of
Communication and Information; Rudiantara, Minister of Public Works
and Housing; Basuki Hadimuljono, Liy Wahid, The King and Queens of
all Indonesia, Filmmakers from various parts of the world, local
actresses and actors, activists and artists.
Damien Dematra, as the founder and director of
the festival said the reason of choosing Looking For Trouble is
because the film shown a person who aren’t known yet but made a huge
impact on humanity. He hope by choosing this film as the winner
could make the world inspired by him. Not a boring story for a
documentary is also one of the reasons the film is chosen.
Before choosing the Overall Winner for the
festival that has received 203 films this year chose 8 big
candidates.

War & Peace directed by Mojtaba Yari
Finally, the winner goes to Looking For Trouble
directed by Caroline Cuny and Bryan Cambell from United States. This
documentary film tells a story humanitarian engineer Fred Cuny and
his bold actions during the Bosnian War.
This festival is working together with other
international film festival; International Film Festival for Peace,
Inspiration and Equality, World Humanitarian Awards, International
Film and Competition and Documentary & Short International Movie
Award.
This festival is organized in collaboration
between People’s Creative Council, The Ministry of Environment and
Forestry, Russian Culture Centre, World Film Council, i-Hebat
International Volunteers, Radio Republic of Indonesia (RRI). |
